+- Start the Logical Volume Manager interactive shell:

+
+- Initialize a drive or partition to be used as a physical volume:

+- Display information about physical volumes:

+`sudo lvm pvdisplay`
+
+- Create a volume group called vg1 from the physical volume on `/dev/sdXY`:
