# vgcreate

- Create a new volume group using the specified device:

`sudo vgcreate {{volume_group}} {{/dev/sdXY}}`

- Create a new volume group using multiple devices:

`sudo vgcreate {{volume_group}} {{/dev/sdXY}} {{/dev/sdXZ}}`
