# ftype

> Display or modify file types used for file extension association.

- Display a list of all file types:

`ftype`

- Display the associated program for a specific file type:

`ftype {{file_type}}`

- Set the associated program for a specific file type:

`ftype {{file_type}}="{{path/to/executable_file}}"`
