# mkfs

- Build a Linux ext2 filesystem on a partition:
|
|
|
|
`mkfs {{path/to/partition}}`
|
|
|
|
- Build a filesystem of a specified type:
|
|
|
|
`mkfs -t {{ext4}} {{path/to/partition}}`
|
|
|
|
- Build a filesystem of a specified type and check for bad blocks:
|
|
|
|
`mkfs -c -t {{ntfs}} {{path/to/partition}}`
|
